Jeudi 29 août 2013, à Vufflens-la-Ville, grâce à la contribution de la Loterie Romande, la Société Cantonale des Musiques Vaudoises (SCMV) a pu remettre plus de 100 instruments pour un montant de Fr. 180'000.—.

Pour la sixième année consécutive, la SCMV, avec le fort soutien de la Loterie Romande, a pu remettre à 39 écoles de musique bénéficiaires une centaine d’instruments. Une large palette d’instruments a été distribuée : cuivres, bois, percussions, tambours, matériels d’initiation musicale, ainsi que des pianos et guitares. Avec ces instruments, les jeunes élèves des écoles de la SCMV bénéficient ainsi d’un matériel d’étude approprié, dans le cadre de leur cursus de formation. Avec ce bagage, ils seront par la suite en mesure de rejoindre les rangs des ensembles de fanfare, brass-band ou harmonie du canton de Vaud.
La cérémonie du 29 août dernier a vu la participation réjouissante de nombreux jeunes musiciennes et musiciens venant prendre possession des instruments. Ils étaient accompagnés de parents et de responsables des écoles de musique.
La manifestation était organisée par le comité de la SCMV, et a été accueillie par l’Ecole Instrumentale de l’Harmonie du Pontet de Vufflens-la-Ville.
